Why People Choose to Use Cloth Diapers
- They are CUTE– This may sound strange but this is the main reason why people buy cloth diapers and keep using them. They love the prints of the diapers and the way they look on their babies. They love to match outfits with the colours of their diaper line-up for the day.
- They are cheaper from birth to potty training– Most disposable diaper users will spend at least $2000 on diapers from birth to potty training. Cloth diapers cost only a few hundred to buy depending on the brand and the cost of washing (water, hydro, and detergent) is negligible. Also, you can reuse the same set of diapers for multiple children and you can sell them when you are done.
- The environment– They estimate that disposable diapers take 400 years to break down in a landfill plus they use massive amounts of petrochemicals and natural resources to manufacture. Reusable products are very trendy right now with people thinking about the kind of impact we are making on the world with one time use plastics. Disposable diapers are filled with untreated human waste that can contaminate ground water. Cloth diapers are washed in washing machines and the waste water is treated with other sewage properly to lessen the impact on the environment.
